Worcester College, Oxford
UA in Oxford is thrilled to be housed at Worcester College, a beautiful, comfortable, and conveniently near the heart of the University. This 700-year old college is centrally located near the bustling town center of Oxford; a five-minute walk to the east, its brimming with museums and art galleries, historic monuments, cinemas, bookstores, shops, cáfes and restaurants. Five minutes west gets one to the rail station with quick and easy transport to London, Wales, Edinburgh, and across the UK.
RoomsLiving conditions have come a long way since medieval monks studied here in the 1280s. All our students are housed in single rooms with a study area, bed, and refrigerator. Each "pod" of rooms share a bathroom and shower facility, with access to a common kitchen area attached to each corridor. Room arrangements are made with gender equity and inclusivity at the forefront.
MealsWorcester's dining hall is renowned for the quality of its food. Students can take advantage of a full English breakfast each morning, which is included as part of the program, as well as weeknight multi-course meals in the elegantly updated eighteenth-century dining hall. Students have ample opportunity to sample the cosmopolitan fare that Oxford has to offer for lunches and weekend dining.
AmenitiesUA students will all have internet access in their rooms, a computer lab for printing, and the Bodleian libraries for reading, writing, and research. The college has laundry facilities, a small gym, and athletic fields on site. Worcester College is noted for its extensive parklands, lakes, benches, flora, and walking paths, reserved for residents and students only.
